‘The Boys’ trolls Disney Plus with Vought+ super streaming service
The Seven from Amazon Prime’s The Boys trolled Disney Plus Day with a promo ad for Vought Plus, “the world’s premiere super streaming service.”
The meta superhero series poked fun at streaming services in the real world, mirroring the show’s satirical take on the superhero genre with their not-so-subtle jab released on Disney Plus Day on Friday (Nov. 12).
The tweet came from the official Vought International page, the social media account of the company that manages the superheroes in The Boys series.
"Happy Vought+ Day! Here's a look at what's coming up from America's favorite streaming platform. Sign up now before the subscription increase next week," they captioned the ad.

"With Vought+, you have the power to control the greatest content in the world," promises leader of The Seven, Homelander.
The Vought+ streaming service promises a slew of superhero and pop culture related content, including news, sports coverage, entertainment, shows for women and diverse content, as well as a host of classic superhero films featuring fallen heroes like Y2KOS and Translucent: Invisible Force 2.
The ad for the fictitious streaming service actually made its debut in a previous Vought News Network video, but resurfaced online right on Disney Plus Day.

Amazon is reportedly adding three new characters to The Boys' upcoming third season. Sean Patrick Flanery, Miles Gaston Villanueva and Nick Wechsler are joining the gritty superhero series.
An R-rated spin-off series of The Boys has also been greenlit, focusing on young superheroes at America’s only college exclusively for young-adult superheroes (run by Vought International).
The first two seasons of The Boys can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
