Ariana Grande to part ways with Scooter Braun and HYBE—report

Published Sep 02, 2023 3:42 pm

Ariana Grande is reportedly cutting ties with Scooter Braun and his agency HYBE Management.

An insider exclusively shared the news with Billboard, following claims that the singer's move to split with his former manager were just "rumors."

“Scooter’s team is spinning the story. Ariana is leaving both Scooter and HYBE. There is absolutely no truth to her staying,” the source stressed.

This comes after media outlets, including Variety, reported that clients under Braun have been in ongoing negotiations for several months now as he takes on his expanded role as the CEO of HYBE America, a subsidiary of the South Korean entertainment powerhouse HYBE, which is also responsible for managing renowned K-pop groups like BTS.

Prior to Grande's departure, A-list singers like Demi Lovato and Idina Menzel have also reportedly dropped Braun as their manager.

Billboard said Grande has been managed by Braun since 2013. Just recently, she dropped the 10th-anniversary deluxe digital edition of her debut album Yours Truly—with live recordings of Honeymoon Avenue and Daydreamin', among others.

With Grande on the lookout for a new manager, it will be interesting to see where her musical journey takes from here on out.
