Internet users—including celebrities like actress Ysabel Ortega, actor Dennis Trillo, Stell Ajero of SB19, Sheena Catacutan of BINI, and two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo—have been taking on the fun challenge with the hit song playing in the background.
How did the dance trend start?
The Maybe This Time dance craze began when a TikTok user posted a video of him pulling off some playful and snappy dance moves to the song’s bridge:

Maybe This Time was originally performed by American country singer-songwriter Michael Martin Murphey in 1983 as part of his album The Heart Never Lies.
Geronimo released her own take on the track for her film Maybe This Time, where she starred alongside Coco Martin. The romantic comedy offering directed by Jerry Lopez follows the story of two exes who meet again years after ending their relationship without closure.
