‘Red Notice’ starring Gal Gadot, Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne Johnson looks like Netflix’s next big hit

Netflix has unleashed the first teaser trailer for its upcoming big action-thriller Red Notice, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, three of Hollywood’s hottest stars today.

The movie, described as "a stylish globe-trotting game of cat-and-mouse (and cat)" was originally set to be released by Universal Pictures before Netflix acquired the distribution rights to the film in 2019.

Boasting the combined star power of Wonder Woman, Deadpool and Black Adam, the international crime caper had a budget of over $200 million, and is reportedly Netflix's most expensive movie to date.

The film’s title refers to an Interpol-issued "Red Notice," a global alert to hunt and capture the world's most wanted, and follows FBI's top profiler John Hartley (Johnson), who is on the case.

“His global pursuit finds him smack dab in the middle of a daring heist where he's forced to partner with the world's greatest art thief Nolan Booth (Reynolds) in order to catch the world's most wanted art thief, ‘The Bishop’ (Gadot).”

The adventure that ensues takes the trio around the world, across the dance floor, trapped in a secluded prison, into the jungle and, worst of all for them, constantly into each other's company.

Red Notice comes from writer and director Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, We're the Millers, Central Intelligence, and Skyscraper).

The film’s supporting cast also includes Ritu Arya (The Umbrella Academy) and Chris Diamantopolous (Silicon Valley).

Red Notice is set to premiere on Netflix on Nov. 12, 2021.
