Moon in the Day
Status: Starts streaming on Nov. 1 on Viu
Starring: Kim Young-dae and Pyo Ye-jin
Moon in the Day follows Han Joon-o (Kim Young-dae), a male top star in Korea with an inferiority complex, who meets a firefighter while shooting a public service advertisement. A car accident occurs while filming. When he wakes up, he is possessed by the spirit of Do Ha, a vengeful nobleman who was killed by his lover.
Simula sa Gitna
Status: Starts streaming on Nov. 2 on Prime Video
Starring: Khalil Ramos and Maris Racal with Dolly De Leon and Jane Oineza
We're totally here for Filipino-produced shows with good quality and interesting stories. The new Simula sa Gitna is one of them. Starring Khalil Ramos and Maris Racal, the comedy-drama follows the (after)life of souls working as custodians of guardians to newly deceased people.
Daily Dose of Sunshine
Status: Starts streaming on Nov. 3 on Netflix
Starring: Park Bo-young, Yeon Woo-jin, Jang Dong-yoon, and Lee Jung-eun
If you're missing heartwarming dramas set in a hospital, Daily Dose of Sunshine is worth adding to your watchlist. Here, a nurse named Jung Da-eun is transferred to a neuropsychiatry ward, where she struggles to adjust. As time passes by, she learns a new set of skills with the guidance of Song Hyo-jin, the head nurse. She also develops a close relationship with a proctologist and a mysterious bright young man.
Black Rider
Status: Starts airing on Nov. 6 on GMA / YouTube
Starring: Ruru Madrid, Matteo Guidicelli, Kylie Padilla, Katrina Halili, Yassi Pressman, Jon Lucas, and more
In Black Rider, Kapuso star Ruru Madrid plays the role of Elias Guerrero, a simple man who works as a delivery rider for the Biyahero app. Unknown to many, he embraces another persona at night as the "Black Rider," a vigilante who tries to protect the oppressed and does his best to fight the bad guys.
Vigilante
Status: Starts streaming on Nov. 8 on Disney+
Starring: Nam Joo-hyuk, Yoo Ji-tae, Kim So-jin, and Lee Joon-hyuk
Hallyu superstar Nam Joo-hyuk may be serving his military duties at the moment, but he surely prepared noteworthy projects for his fans. In Vigilante, he plays the role of Kim Ji-yong, a good-looking but often angry young police academy newbie who takes matters into his own hands at night to catch the criminals behind his mother’s death. His notoriety would reach a point where he would be dubbed as the "vigilante" by the public and the press.
The Marvels
Status: Showing in cinemas starting Nov. 8
Starring: Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Zawe Ashton, Gary Lewis, Park Seo-joon, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Saagar Shaikh, and Samuel L. Jackson
What a stunning all-female cast! In Marvel Studios' The Marvels, Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) gets her powers entangled with those of Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) and Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), forcing them to work together to save the universe.
Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul
Status: Showing in cinemas starting Nov. 15
Starring: Melai Cantiveros, Jennica Garcia, Alora Sasam, Karylle, and Bernadette Allyson as well as K-drama stars Lee Seung-gi and Do Ji-han
It’s been a while since we’ve seen an action-packed Pinoy riot comedy with a female lead on the big screen. In Ma'am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul, Melai Cantiveros plays a policewoman sent to South Korea for a secret mission, where she pretends to be a tour guide to catch a slick fugitive. It looks like those who love Pinoy humor with a mix of girl power could enjoy this one.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes
Status: Showing in cinemas starting Nov. 17
Starring: Rachel Zegler, Tom Blyth, and Viola Davis
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes follows Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth), the future tyrannical President of Panem, as he mentors Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), an “impoverished tribute” from District 12 for the 10th Hunger Games. It's the latest installment for the film series, which is about a televised event where "tributes" fight for special status and wealth.
Lovers/Liars
Status: Starts airing on GMA on Nov. 20
Starring: Claudine Barretto, Christian Vasquez, Polo Ravales, Shaira Diaz, Lianne Valentin, Sarah Edwards, Michelle Vito, Rob Gomez, Yasser Marta, Kimson Tan, and Lorraine Wong
This upcoming triple-plot drama series would serve as the much-awaited comeback of Claudine Barretto in primetime drama after almost seven years. GMA's 24 Oras reported that she is set to play the role of a successful career woman who gets into a romantic relationship with a younger man. Further details are yet to be revealed.
A Bloody Lucky Day
Status: Starts streaming on TVING on Nov. 24
Starring: Lee Sung-min, Yoon Yeon-seok, and Lee Jung-eun
Here, a taxi driver named Oh Taek (portrayed by Lee Sung-min) meets the charming Geum-Hyeok-soo (Yoo Yeon-seok), who turns out to be a dangerous man. Sounds intriguing, doesn't it?
My Demon
Status: Starts streaming on Netflix on Nov. 24
Starring: Song Kang and Kim Yoo-jung
K-drama stars Song Kang and Kim Yoo-jung are set to prove their chemistry in the upcoming fantasy romance series My Demon. In the K-drama offering, a young heiress who has trust issues and doesn’t believe in true love crosses paths with a handsome demon. The two agree on a sham marriage deal, but things get complicated eventually.
Replacing Chef Chico
Status: Starts streaming on Netflix on Nov. 24
Starring: Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, and Alessandra De Rossi
Are you up for a Pinoy romance-comedy film? Starring Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, and Alessandra De Rossi, Replacing Chef Chico revolves around a head chef who falls into a coma. It would be up to his devoted sous-chef to keep their Filipino fine dining restaurant from closing down.
Shake, Rattle, and Roll Extreme
Status: Showing in cinemas starting Nov. 29

The iconic Pinoy movie horror franchise is back! If you’re too young to remember, moviegoers used to flock to the cinemas during the holiday season to watch Shake, Rattle, and Roll with their families. For its major comeback since 2020, Filipino horror fans can expect three thrilling segments: Glitch, which features an insidious creature; Rage, which is about a mysterious disease that would affect a certain group and make them fight to death; and Mukbang, which revolves around shape-shifting monsters who love human flesh.
