A new trailer and poster for Sony's Morbius reveals the two sides of Jared Leto's vampire anti-hero character.

Sony and Columbia Pictures released a new poster for the upcoming superhero film Sunday (Dec. 5) focusing on Leto's dual looks in the film, both in his human form as Dr. Michael Morbius, and as the vampiric superhero Morbius: The Living Vampire.

Columbia Pictures Philippines, the local office of Sony Pictures Releasing International, has teased a release date of 2022 for Morbius

Directed by Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) the film stars Oscar-winner Jared Leto as Dr. Michael Morbius, a brilliant scientist stricken with a rare blood disease who finds a cure for his condition, which gives him unwanted special abilities and an unnatural thirst for blood.

Originally crafted as a villain for Spider-Man and Blade in the original Marvel Comics in 1971, Morbius evolved over the years into more of a vigilante character.

The enigmatic doctor becomes Morbius: The Living Vampire, an anti-hero who struggles to find yet another cure for his new affliction.

The upcoming Sony-produced film also stars Matt Smith, Michael Keaton, Jared Harris, Tyrese Gibson, and Adria Arjona.

The latest trailer released Sunday gives fans a better look at Jared Leto's superhuman vampire powers in the upcoming Spider-Man spin-off.

The three-and-a-half-minute long clip shows Leto's sickly character being experimented on before turning into his vampire form.

Morbius then goes on a killing spree with superhuman speed, strength, senses, and razor sharp claws and teeth, killing everyone in his way before collapsing and slowly transforming back into a human state.

In the Philippines, Morbius is slated for a release exclusively in cinemas in 2022.

The film is expected to premiere some time after Spider-Man: No Way Home, which has been delayed to Jan. 8, 2022 in local cinemas.
