‘Loki’ series moves up premiere date; new episodes to release on Wednesdays
Wednesdays are the new Fridays in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios just announced that the highly-anticipated Loki series will debut two days earlier than expected on June 9 instead of June 11 on Disney Plus.
"Marvel Studios' Loki is here to mix it up," announced Marvel Studios along with a special look teasing new footage on social media.

New episodes will premiere on Wednesdays, instead of Fridays unlike the previous two Marvel shows released earlier this year, WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Tom Hiddleston also made a special video announcement, interrupting an Avengers-themed video montage to highlight the character of the Asgardian god of mischief stepping out his brother Thor’s shadow.
In the upcoming series, Hiddleston is playing a variant of Loki from an alternate timeline created by the Avengers' Infinity Stones heist in Avengers: Endgame (2012), who used the Tesseract to escape custody.
As previously reported, the crime thriller series sees Loki landing himself in a world of trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority), a police organization that monitors the timeline and multiverse.
The god of mischief is recruited by the TVA to “fix reality” and help clean up several broken timelines he created in an exciting crime thriller that sees him traveling through different periods of time to alter history.
The show also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Owen Wilson, Richard E. Grant, and Sophia Di Martino. The series was directed by Kate Herron.
The series is led by executive producer and head writer Michael Waldron (Rick and Morty, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness). Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’ Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Stephen Broussard, and Kate Herron, who is also set as the director.

Loki will premiere on Disney Plus on June 9, 2021.
