15-year-old boy offers his 'Eras Tour' tickets to 2 girls who got scammed

A 15-year-old Swiftie from Singapore did not think twice about giving up his Eras Tour tickets to two girls he spotted crying after learning they got scammed. 

The boy, whose name is Oliver Lim, told local outlet Mothership that he, along with her mother and auntie were at the opening night of the Eras Tour at the National Stadium when he spotted two crying girls who were sitting on the stairs. 

“They just seemed sad, so we asked them, ‘Oh, did you need tickets? Why are you sitting down here?’ Because they couldn’t go to the gantry,” he said.  

The two girls eventually said they got scammed so they couldn’t go to the concert as planned. 

"They told us that their tickets had been reprinted over and over again. So the first person [who went] inside would only be able to use the tickets,” Oliver said.

Upon knowing the situation, Oliver said that he and his auntie felt bad, so he told his mom that they would offer their tickets instead to the girls for their original price. 

"I know the tickets are worth quite a lot now, but I just felt bad because I wouldn't want to get scammed. I wouldn't want to be in that position," he added. 

He shared that the girls immediately thanked him and went inside the stadium, where they were seated next to Oliver’s parents. His mom recorded the two enjoying the concert, where they were seen singing and dancing during the show.

Upon seeing them happy, the 15-year-old boy because just as happy with his decision.

“Oh my goodness, they were like dancing the whole three hours,” he said, quipping, “I can’t dance that long.” 

“For me, I felt they felt a sense of belong there more than I would, actually,” he said. “I’m quite grateful that they actually got the opportunity to [experience the concert,” he added. 

Fellow Swifties expressed their admiration for the boy on social media.

"He’s so sweet omg," one TikTok user said.

"[S]alute to this boy's mom!!!! she raised this lovely boy with the good heart," another one commented.

One social media user also commented, "This is the sweetest story. What a beautiful soul! So happy they get to experience the concert."

Oliver was still able to attend Taylor Swift's concert last March 7, thanks to the chairman of Kallang Alive Sport Management (KASM), who gave him four tickets after learning about his act of generosity. 

“It warmed our hearts to learn that he reached out and selflessly gave up his much-coveted concert tickets, to help another person in need, with his reward being only him having done someone a good deed,” KASM chairman told the media outlet.
