‘Cobra Kai’ season 4 strikes back this December
Cobra Kai, the television series spin-off of the classic The Karate Kid films, is all set to return to the All Valley Tournament for its fourth season on Netflix this Dec. 31, 2021.
A date announcement teaser was released at Netflix’s global fan event over the weekend, with the series' latest season coming right in time to welcome the new year.
Season 4 will see new alliances with former rivals Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) of Miyago-Do and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) of Eagle Fang teaming up to take on Cobra Kai dojo, now led by antagonist John Kreese (Martin Kove).
But the stakes are higher than ever, and Kreese won’t be alone.
The fourth season of the Emmy nominated series will be connected to The Karate Kid Part III (1989) as the third season was to The Karate Kid Part II (1986).
Season 4 sees the return of Thomas Ian Griffith reprising his role as the infamous Terry Silver from the original trilogy. Silver was a close friend of Kreese from the military and the original corporate owner of the Cobra Kai dojo.
In the third film, Silver befriends and tricks Daniel into training with him and takes him down a dark path in an elaborate revenge plot to redeem the dojo in the public’s eyes.
The series also stars Courtney Henggeler, Tanner Buchannan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Decenzo, Peyton List, and Vanessa Rubio.
Season 4 of Cobra Kai is set to premiere on Netflix on Dec. 31, 2021.
Earlier this year, ahead of Season 4’s airing, Netflix confirmed that Cobra Kai has already been renewed for a fifth season.
