Street Fighter’s Cammy and Guile are coming to ‘Fortnite’
Fortnite, the popular free-to-play Battle Royale game, continues to add premium skins with Cammy and Guile from Capcom's iconic Street Fighter video game franchise.
The top fighters from the US and UK are finally making their way to the island following the debut of fellow Street Fighter vets Ryu and Chun-Li in February of this year.
According to Epic’s official announcement blog post, Cammy and Guile will make their way to Fortnite’s Item Shop on August 7 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
Players will be able to purchase Guile and Cammy as individual Outfits or bundles that include the skin, a custom Back Bling, and a Victory pose emote.
The Guile Outfit showcases the classic green fatigues first worn in the original Street Fighter II and adds a beach-ready Glistening Guile Variant and K.O. Backbling.
Alongside the classic Delta Red Cammy Outfit, players will also be able to equip the Borealis Backer Back Bling and Tactical Cammy Variant.
Those who’d like to purchase both fighter outfits together can do so at a discounted price, which comes with the Round 2 Loading Screen as a Bonus.
There’s also a separate Gear Bundle featuring Guile’s Knuckle Buster Pickaxe, Cammy’s Delta Red Bowie Blade Pickaxe, and the V-Trigger Vector Glider -- inspired by the original Guile stage.
Fortnite, which was first released in 2017, continues to remain one of the most popular free-to-play online video games. In 2020, Epic Games reported that the game had over 350 million registered accounts. A year later with the ongoing pandemic causing increased interest in online video games, it’s highly likely that this number has increased, and could even be close to 400 million total accounts.
