US President Joe Biden calls the love for K-pop ‘universal’
K-just got the ultimate shout-out from United States President Joe Biden, who called the love for the genre “universal.”
During an address regarding his meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-In, the 78-year-old US commander-in-chief first reported on the ongoing in-person meetings between the two countries and North Korea's denuclearisation— before showing some love to the country’s music scene.
“Our people, our people-to-people, and cultural connections are only growing. And K-pop fans are universal,” he shared as laughs filled the press conference room.
“I can tell those who laugh know what I’m talking about," he said before chuckling himself. "Anyway, I’ll get back to that later.”

Since his words come on the heels of BTS’ highly-anticipated single release of Butter, fans were quick to take heed of the US President’s words.
Oh no the Twitter K-pop stans have gotten to Biden

Yeah it may be cheesy and lame, but it’s clear by now that being a cheesy lame grandpa is what Biden loves to do most https://t.co/ehdwJMlUxa
