The Forgers are back! 'Spy x Family' season 2 is coming to Netflix on Oct. 7

Anya, Loid, and Yor are back with their shenanigans as they continue their mission next month. Netflix has just announced that the hit anime series Spy x Family will be returning for its second season on October 7. 

The announcement shortly follows the fresh trailer that Japanese TV channel TOHO Animation dropped on YouTube today, Sept. 25, which features scenes from the previous season and a sneak peek of the show's original soundtrack, Kura Kura by Ado and Todome no Ichige by Vaundy featuring Cory Wong

Spy x Family season 2 is titled Operation Strix and is centered on the Forger family’s vacation on a luxury cruise ship. Aboard the ship, Yor is also on a secret mission to protect a noble family from assassins.  

The upcoming show will be covering the remaining unadapted chapters of the manga, which focuses on the Cruise Adventure arc and could possibly dive into Loid’s backstory.  

The globally popular anime is adapted from Tatsuya Endo's Japanese manga series. It wrapped up its first season at the end of 2022. Due to the love it received from its audience, season 2 was quickly announced at Jump Festa 2023. 

Aside from Netflix, the new season will also be available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
