Puregold Channel's digital series 'GVBOYS' nears 1 million views
Since its premiere on July 10, the first two episodes of the Puregold Channel's newest digital comedy series, GVBOYS: Pangmalakasang Good Vibes, have reached a total of 950,000 combined views on YouTube and Facebook.
Netizens have expressed their thoughts on GVBOYS online, leaving comments like "Dami ko tawa dito! (this made me laugh so much!)," and "Hanggang dulo pinanood ko. Nakaka good vibes (I watched till the end. It gives me good vibes)."
Good vibes all around
In the first episode, we were introduced to Jawo, Daks, Zeus, Aling Pearly, and Kathryn B. The show followed the antics of the three boys living in Aling Pearly's boarding house. And by the end, we meet Loisa Soberano who lent Aling Pearly money for the boarding house as collateral.
In the next episode, the trio vows to help Aling Pearly pay off her loan. Their efforts, however, turn into misadventures. With Kathryn's help, Jawo nabs a job as a movie extra where he plays a zombie. Being narcoleptic, he falls asleep while filming. Meanwhile, Dax finds a job online but is led somewhere unsavory, and Zeus, who tries to sell his stuff online, ends up dancing for the highest bidders.
Hijinks ensue as Zeus' parents hire a House Angel, Avana, to help him with chores. Jawo and Daks develop a crush. While that's going on, Loisa continues to hound Aling Pearly for payment, so the boys plot to make her fall in love with one of them.
GVBOYS: Pangmalakasang Good Vibes stars Jerome Ponce, Nikko Natividad, David Bornea, Elsa Droga, and Wilma Doesnt and is directed by Don Cuaresma.
