WATCH: Final trailer for Marvel’s ‘Eternals’
The final trailer for Eternals has just dropped, giving fans a longer look at the new team of superheroes joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe introduced in the teaser released in May.
Based on the Marvel comics of the same name, the Eternals are a hidden race of godlike beings tied to world mythology and the creation of mankind and human civilization. When monstrous creatures called the Deviants, long thought lost to history, mysteriously return, the Eternals are forced to reunite in order to defend humanity once again.
The latest trailer gives viewers a look at the monstrous creatures, and addresses why the Eternals didn't interfere with Thanos.
The film, set after the events of 2019's Avengers: Endgame is directed by Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao (Nomadland), with President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige producing.

The stellar cast for the film includes Gemma Chan as humankind-loving Sersi, Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as cosmic-powered Kingo, Lia McHugh as the eternally young, old-soul Sprite, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor Phastos, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Barry Keoghan as aloof loner Druig, Don Lee as the powerful Gilgamesh, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman, with Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader Ajak, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena.
