It's the end of an era.

Pinoy TV viewers will no longer be able to watch science, exploration, and adventure destination National Geographic as well as its sister channels Baby TV, National Geographic Wild, Star Chinese Movies, and Star Chinese Channel starting Oct. 1.

In an advisory, SKYcable said the Walt Disney Company decided to cease the broadcast of the said channels in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines.

On Sept. 11, they were also no longer available for new Select subscriptions.

Filipinos can still watch the aforementioned Disney channels on Disney+.

The pay TV service also suggested tuning in to some channels that carry similar content featuring kids, documentaries, Chinese movies, and news. These include ZooMoo, Cartoonito, History, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet. Love Nature, CCM formerly known as Celestial Classic Movies, CGTN, CGTN Documentary, CCTV 4, and KIX.
