Google Calendar expands RSVP feature for virtual and in-person attendees
Google Calendar will start expanding the RSVP feature to accommodate hybrid workplaces and events.
Through a new drop-down button, participants may respond if they are attending to the invite in person or virtually, the response of which will be visible for both attendees and organizers.
As restrictions continue and activities are set in either a limited face-to-face environment, fully virtual, or hybrid, Google hopes that “This will help meeting attendees know what to expect when joining a meeting, and prepare accordingly.”
The new options will initially be limited to Google Calendar but will “soon” be available to Gmail as well.
Google says the rollout of the new update will be available to Google Workspace, G Suite Basic, and Business customers starting July 8 and will be on gradual rollout for the next few weeks.
