LOOK: 8 official entries to MMFF 2021 announced
The eight official entries to the 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), which will run from Dec. 25, 2021 to Jan. 7, 2022 in cinemas nationwide, have been announced.
Eight competing entries were selected from 19 titles submitted for MMFF 2021, which marks the film festival’s return to physical cinemas amid the COVID-19 pandemic after its virtual run last year.
The lineup includes A Hard Day, Big Night!, Love at First Stream, Kun Maupay Man It Panahon (Whether the Weather is Fine), Nelia, Huwag Kang Lalabas, The ExorSis and Huling Ulan sa Tag-Araw.
A notable inclusion this year is Kun Maupay Man It Panahon, a Yolanda-set drama that achieved critical acclaim internationally, bagging a special award at the Locarno Film Festival and the best director trophy for Carlo Francisco Manatad at the London East Asia Film Festival.
