WATCH: 'The Crown' relives Princess Diana’s final moments in new trailer
The sixth and final season of The Crown finally released its first official trailer with a buildup on Princess Diana’s tragic death in 1997.
The trailer starts with Diana’s growing unease from the public’s scrutiny. Scenes where the paparazzo was always in her tail left Diana (Elizabeth Debicki) having a panic attack in her vehicle.
Dodi Fayed (Khalid Abdalla), who died alongside the princess in the 1997 car crash, can be seen beside Diana. Their relationship will also be explored in the last season.
Then there was a part where she receives a gift with a note saying, “Paris next week?” hinting at the accident that is about to happen.
The late Queen Elizabeth’s moments with Diana were also shown and how the effects of the public’s adoration and demand for her private life had affected the royal family.
“You’ve finally succeeded in turning this house upside down. It’s nothing less than revolution,” Queen Elizabeth, who was played by Imelda Staunton, tells Diana.
“It was never my intention,” Diana answers.
The trailer ends with the show’s recreation of her sitting on a diving board of Mohamed Al Fayed's luxurious yacht, a week before the car crash.
The last season of The Crown will premiere in two parts. The first will be streaming on Netflix starting Nov. 16 and the second will start streaming on Dec. 14.
