Books as low as P20 and more: What to expect at the Big Bad Wolf Sale at Glorietta

By Brooke Villanueva Published Jun 19, 2024 4:00 pm

Attention, bibliophiles: The Big Bad Wolf Sale is now at Glorietta!

Dr. Seuss, in his book I Can Read with My Eyes Shut!, wrote: “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Whether we read only a chapter every day or more or less than that, there’s always something new to discover and some other place to transport to.

If you’re looking for new reads to get lost in, you might want to check out the Big Bad Wolf Sale’s second stop in Manila this year. Here’s what you can expect at the week-long affair for book lovers.

Multi-genre reading, books starting at P20
Admission is free at the Big Bad Wolf Sale in Glorietta.

Running from June 19 to 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Glorietta, the Big Bad Wolf Sale starts from the Palm Drive Activity Center, where you can score good finds for the little ones in your life, including box sets, pop-up books, board books, work books, coloring books, and sticker books, among many others.

Children's bestsellers at the BBW Sale

The sale extends all the way to the Glorietta Activity Center, which has book genres for every adult book lover: fiction, thriller, fantasy, self-help, biography, humor, romance, travel, history, business, money, career, literature, poetry, and so much more.

Books up to 95% off await at the BBW Sale.

The best part? Admission is free, and books cost as low as P20.

Good finds: Books by Paulo Coelho, Ernest Hemingway, George Orwell, and Jane Austen, some in box sets

More than books

Some readers are writers, too. If you’re one of them, you’d be happy to know that there’s one whole section for journals with themes like Harry Potter, Gotham, Game of Thrones, and The Joker. There are also Flame Tree Notebooks, which are known for their art-filled covers that are printed on foil, embossed, and then foil-stamped for a stunning 3D finish.

Journals available at the BBW Sale

Aside from journals, a wide variety of pins, stickers, posters, and merch are in store for guests, too.

You can also bring home cute pins, stickers, and other merch with you after your visit.

Fun activities

An activity nook is situated at the Palm Drive Activity Center, where you, along with other kids and kids at heart, can enjoy various activities—from stamping to recycling doll kits from Papemelroti—for your creativity and imagination. There’s even a music corner to make your visit more enjoyable.

Help build a community of readers
A donation drive is also situated at the BBW Sale.

At the Big Bad Wolf Sale, you can share a book for every purchase to support Ayala Land’s initiative aimed at promoting literacy at an early age. Glorietta has so far pledged a thousand books, and you can help make the reading community bigger with your donation—no matter how big or small.

Perks and freebies

Metrobank cardholders have their own payment lanes with the bank’s logo for easier checkout. Those who will sign up for a membership at IKEA Family during their visit can also get a free bag.

Long queues, but worth it
The offerings at the BBW Sale are being updated daily.

You can expect long queues and crowded areas at the sale, with people purchasing items in carts. For easier entry, you can register in advance through this link. Big Bad Wolf is accepting payments via cash, card, and e-wallet like GCash.

Happy shopping—and reading!
