Heads up, theater fans: 'Ang Huling El Bimbo' is slated for a 2023 comeback

"Gusto mo bang sumama?"

Hit musical show Ang Huling El Bimbo is set to make a theatrical comeback this 2023. Newport World Resorts production company, Full House Theater announced the news via Instagram with a casting call for the show's main roles.

"Hindi mo na kailangan ang magtago't mahiya!" they wrote alongside the requirements of a 3-minute audition video, CV, and half-body photo.

Full House is currently looking for child and adult actors for Hector, Anthony, Emman, and Joy. They are also looking for talents for Andre and Joy's daughter, Ligaya, along with members of the male and female ensemble.

Interested artists can send in their applications to [email protected]. The deadline for submission is on August 20, 2022.

Meanwhile, details are still scarce on the beloved show's comeback. Ang Huling El Bimbo is a story of love, growing up, and friendship with the nostalgic tunes of the Eraserheads.

Their most recent performance was back from July 5 to August, 2019. The show gained popularity anew when they released a free pre-recorded performance in May of 2020 on YouTube and Facebook.

The principal cast members of Gab Pangilinan, Tanya Manalang, Reb Atadero, Bibo Reyes, Phi Palmos, and more went on to hold a reunion show in December 2021 at Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
