Minions head to Minecraft in new DLC

Illumination has collaborated with Minecraft to bring the Despicable Me franchise to the game through Minions x Minecraft DLC, introducing new skins and an adventure map.

The new DLC brings the mischievous yellow henchmen into the game along with a Minions Adventure Map and 29 franchise skins which include Gru, Lucy, and their three children Margo, Edith, and Agnes.

Villains add chaos in the Overworld, allowing players to help Gru fight El Macho, Vector, and Vicious 6, villains from the upcoming film Minions: Rise of Gru.

Despicable Me is the latest major franchise that arrived in Minecraft which previously included Mario, Star Wars, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Simpsons, and more.

The Minions x Minecraft DLC is now available from the Minecraft Marketplace.

The most despicable team will return to theaters, going back to in the 1970s in Minions: Rise of Gru, which will look into the young Gru and his Minions. It is slated for a July 1, 2022 release.
