Actor James Hollcroft found dead at 26 after being reported missing

James Hollcroft, who became known for his roles in Mexican shows, was discovered lifeless after going missing for days.

His sister Jane announced his death in an Instagram post as she thanked him for the memories they made. “I will love you forever,” she wrote. “Thank you for the years we shared together and for giving me the most magnificent moments I could ever live. You will always be present in our hearts, little brother.”

His brother-in-law, Arturo Avila Meija, also mourned the actor’s death in a social media post. “I wish everything was just another dream,” he began.

“Thank you for being the brother that you were, the uncle that you were with your nephews, the great son that you were,” he said. “This really breaks my heart. Today, we lower the curtain here but I know that you are in heaven putting on that great performance that you talked so much about.”

According to PEOPLE Magazine, the actor was reported missing last Sept. 3. Other details about his death were not specified.

Hollcroft became famous for his appearances in Mexican series such as Como dice el dicho (As the Saying Goes).

PEOPLE Magazine reported that he worked and trained at a media company based in Mexico City.
