Lady Gaga to appear in 'Wednesday' Season 2—report

Get ready to go even more gaga for the second season of Wednesday as Lady Gaga has reportedly been cast in the hit Netflix series.

In a report by Variety, the renowned singer-turned-actress will make an appearance on the supernatural mystery show's continuation, which is scheduled to premiere in 2025.

While exact details of the role are still being kept under wraps, it appears that Gaga will not be an integral part of the show as sources said that it will only be a cameo.

The music artist was initially offered a larger role, but discussions "ultimately did not work out."

Gaga's appearance in Wednesday seems to be a full circle moment, as this comes after a sped-up version of her 2011 song Bloody Mary became a viral hit on TikTok when it was used as background music to the iconic dance scene featured in Wednesday Episode 4.

The remix became so popular that Gaga herself hopped in on the trend. The Bad Romance singer posted a video of herself back in 2022 where she filmed herself dressing up in her best Wednesday Addams cosplay before doing the dance routine.

This will mark the latest acting role for Gaga after her recent stint in Joker: Folie à Deux as the comic book character Harley Quinn.

Her first major role as an actress was in the 2018 romantic drama film A Star Is Born, where she co-starred with Bradley Cooper. She also led the 2021 biographical film House of Gucci.

Directed by Tim Burton, Wednesday premiered on Netflix in November 2022 and was included in Netflix’s Top 10 list of most popular English series. The show is based on the character Wednesday Addams from the Addams Family franchise.

According to the streaming site, the second installment will continue to explore the supernatural mysteries of Wednesday during her stay at Nevermore Academy.

Jenna Ortega, who plays the character and serves as the series' producer, previously said that the upcoming season will be "bigger" and "action-packed," teasing that they will lean more toward the horror genre.

Aside from Ortega, most of the cast from Season 1 will return, including Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzman (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), and Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin).
