Filipino-made video game ‘Good Knight’ to debut this year
What do you get when you combine tons of bullets, mind-bending puzzles and rhythmic gameplay in an arcade metal video game? Well, the guys at a Philippine-based game development company sure did find out.
Enter Good Knight, a button-mashing orbital arena shooting simulator that features shooter, puzzle and rhythm elements in one action-packed video game. The game tells the story of a Spanish knight battling demons in hellish environments, set in a Gothic steampunk Philippines.
Created by Filipino game developer Team Good Knight and distributed by Goodthink Games, the game describes itself as “a Filipino metal one button bullet hell” inspired by the tale of Dante’s Inferno.
The game revolves around dodging an endless stream of bullets coming your way, all while solving puzzles. It features an all original rock metal soundtrack and can accommodate a maximum of four players.
The game has already won several awards and nods, including “Best Console/Desktop Game” at the 2019 Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit.
Good Knight comes to PC later this year but can be added now to your Steam wishlist. A Nintendo Switch and mobile app version is also planned for 2021.
