The Fast & The Furious: Noodle Edition
Mini-car for no-spill ramen delivery unveiled by Nissan
Move over Conveyor Belt Sushi. You can now get your ramen delivered by automated mini-cars.
Japanese car manufacturer Nissan recently introduced a mini-car that can deliver steaming bowls of ramen across a restaurant counter without any spillage.
Dubbed the e-4ORCE Ramen Counter, the mini-vehicle was built with a flat tray on top to keep the bowl of ramen stable, and twin electric motors that independently control the wheels while remaining steady.
In a video posted by Nissan on Sunday (March 13), the mini-car can be seen in action shuttling full bowls of ramen to the delight of hungry customers.
The mobile ramen noodle server manages to deliver delicious meals without spilling a drop.
While we would love to see this kind of technology in Japanese restaurants, the mini-car is just a one-off prototype and marketing strategy to hype up technology used by the Nissan Ariya.

According to the car company's news release, the mini-car uses the same e-4ORCE technology offered on the all-new Nissan Ariya crossover electric vehicle (EV), which is also showcased in the video. Nissan's most advanced all-wheel control technology precisely manages power output and brakes to offer a smooth and steady ride.
The e-4ORCE technology lets the driver confidently trace the intended driving path on any surface of wet and snowy roads and allows them to not need to change driving styles or input.
The technology reportedly provides stability and comfort in riding for all vehicle occupants to avoid motion sickness, and minimize front and rear motor regenerative braking when decelerating.

The Nissan Ariya is set to launch later this year. But with the price of gas skyrocketing, maybe we’ll just stick to the noodles for now. Now that's fast food.
