Apple has released its list of products that are considered vintage and obsolete in 2024.

According to the tech giant’s list released on July 1, the products that are considered vintage are those unavailable in the market for more than five years or less than seven years ago.

Among those included in the list is the anniversary edition iPhone X which was released in November 2017. It was the first iPhone that had major upgrades like facial recognition to replace the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, the A11 Bionic chip, and the notched display.

Also included in the list is the 1st generation HomePod, a smart speaker that now has second generation and mini versions, Beats Pro and X versions, Apple Watch Series 1 and 2, and the first generation of AirPods that was released in 2016.

Meanwhile, products considered obsolete worldwide are iPhones from its 3G to 6s Plus units, iPad Air Cellular to the fifth generation, Apple Watch Hermes and Sport, and MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch), among others.

According to Apple, some vintage products aged up to seven years may still be eligible for service in Apple Stores and service providers, but parts are subject to availability.

Mac laptops, meanwhile, may be eligible for an extended battery-only repair period within 10 years from when the products were last made available to the market, parts will also be subject to availability.
