Attention, gamers: 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' multiplayer video game is in the works
Love Avatar? You can now experience fighting like Aang as the classic series is getting a video game treatment.
According to a report by Variety, the new offering is currently being developed by Maximum Entertainment following its recent partnership with Paramount.
It's being designed to have “competitive fighting games, live service and action/adventure titles,” and is slated for a pre-release in 2025.
Other video games that were announced include “Smalland: Survive the Wilds,” “Morbid: The Lords of Ire,” “Whisker Waters,” and a dev update on “Maximum Football.”
This comes after its partnership with its publishing labels Maximum Games, Modus Games, Just For Games and Merge Games, and Modus Studios.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is an animated series released in 2005. It follows the story of Aang, the world’s last hope as the next Avatar restores peace among four nations—Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. He finds himself in a series of quests and adventures.
Its live-action adaptation is set to premiere on Netflix on Feb. 22 with eight hour-long episodes.
