YouTuber Dream, the popular Minecraft content creator who's been known only through his iconic white smiley mask for years until he revealed his face last October, said he's going back to being anonymous due to the "attention and hate."

In a video titled "bye, from Dream" uploaded on June 10, Manila time, Dream said he regretted his face reveal and deleted the video permanently.

He also poked fun at the hate comments he received, with his friends joking about how he's so "ugly," and that he'll get more views if he started hiding his face again.

Dream then showed a new mask, which he vowed to wear everywhere "from now on."

The end of the video showed him in the drive-thru of popular fast food McDonald's while wearing his new mask.

"I will slowly be deleting all pictures of me online, and going back to just being a gamer in a mask," Dream also said in his video's caption. "I will be getting rid of everything other than my new mask."

He said the company that made masks for superheroes like Spider-Man and Batman made him one so he "can be Dream all of the time."

"Thank you all from the bottom of my heart to those that supported me, even though I am ugly," he said in the caption. "I appreciate you all more than you could ever know, and I will be working on my face while I'm masked again."

Dream has over 31.6 million subscribers and is one of the most popular content creators since creating his YouTube account in 2014.
