Choi Woo Shik, Park Bo Young, Lee Jun Young, Jeon So Nee to team up in new K-drama, 'Melo Movie'
Attention all K-drama enthusiasts! Brace yourselves for an exciting new Korean romantic-comedy series as Choi Woo Shik (A Killer Paradox) and Park Bo Young (Strong Girl Bong-soon) will reportedly top-bill a drama series called Melo Movie.
This came after STARNEWS reported that Woo Shik, Bo Young, Jeon So Nee, and Lee Jun Young were joining forces in the upcoming drama Romantic Movie.
Melo Movie is written by Our Beloved Summer writer Lee Na Eun and will be helmed by director Oh Choong Hwan of Castaway Diva, Big Mouth, Start-Up, and Hotel Del Luna fame.
The series will follow the story of the "lives of young individuals who are used to always pretending to be fine in the face of hardships."
The K-media outlet also revealed the series' characters, which include Go Kyum (Woo Shik), an actor-turned-film critic who wants to see every movie ever made.
Meanwhile, the character of Kim Moo Bi will be played by Bo Young. She is a curious person who pursues a career in cinema after experiencing a love-hate relationship with her father, who values movies over her.
South Korean singer and rapper Lee Jun Young will play Hong Si Joon, an unknown composer who thinks he's a genius, while Soulmate's Jeon So Nee will also portray his ex-girlfriend and scriptwriter Son Joo Ah.
Other details, such as the premiere date and the series's running time, have yet to be announced.
