Prepare for terror in the high seas on this week's Epic Games Store freebie

This week's free game will make you fear the water—and lose your mind—as you try to survive the terror that awaits.

It's another week of free games from the Epic Games Store, the digital storefront that offers members a free game (or two) every seven days. There's no cost to signing up and you don't need to purchase any of the games sold in the store to avail of the weekly freebies.

It's a great way to attract gamers into checking out their prices as well, compared to those on offer at Steam and GOG. Whichever the case, the free games revealed each week are no lower-tier items. Previous giveaways included games such as GTA V, Metro: Last Light, Rage 2, Night in the Woods, and much more.

This week it's the terrifying horror title, Sunless Sea.

Set in the Victorian Gothic universe of Fallen London, Sunless Sea has the player controlling a steamship on a vast, underground sea. "If the giant crabs, sentient icebergs and swarms of bats don’t get you, madness and cannibalism certainly will," the game's description blurts. Where do we sign up?
