Ryan Reynolds once again trolls wife Blake Lively for her 34th birthday

If trolling was a love language, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively would be the poster couple.

For Blake's 34th birthday today, Aug. 25, her husband didn't pass up the chance to poke fun at his wife by... actually snubbing her.

On Twitter and Instagram Stories, the actor decided to thank Mariah Carey for dueting his TikTok by stating that it was his favorite thing to happen on the day, never mind that it's his wife of nine years' birthday, of course.

"My favorite thing that’s ever happened on August 25th."

Blake has yet to respond to Ryan's non-greeting, but this wouldn't be the first that they've poked fun of each other online as it's already a recurring back-and-forth event among the couple.

Ryan first publicly trolled Blake back in 2017 when he posted a photo of the couple on the red carpet. The only problem was that Blake was cropped out to make way for a full view of just the actor.

Blake hit back in the same year when she posted a similarly cropped photo of her husband with Ryan Gosling, with the sweet words directed to the latter actor instead.

"Happy birthday, baby," Blake had captioned.

The following year, Reynolds retaliated with a 10-photo slideshow showcasing Blake in unflattering angles, from pulling off candid wacky faces to not even looking to the camera at all.

Joking around apparently runs in their family too, as Ryan once shared with People that even their three daughters inherited the funny genes.

When asked if he had ever been trolled, Reynolds responded: "Oh, God, yes, I do. Are you kidding me? I live with one. My wife trolls the crap out of me. Why would I go online? I've got it right here at home."

"Even my daughters now troll me, so like I'm safe from nothing," he added.

Meanwhile, Ryan's 56th birthday is happening on Oct. 23, so Blake has a few more months left to plan her 2021 reversal.
