BTS had fans watching butter melt for an hour. Here’s how not to miss drop of their single ‘Butter’
BTS is cooking up something special.
Being a K-Pop stan has its highs and lows, but it was a peculiar day for BTS fans (or ARMYs) yesterday as the 7-piece boy group quite literally made them watch butter melt.
The 1-hour livestream posted by BANGTANTV on April 26 had no grand effects nor tricks up its sleeve—as you only had to wait and watch a bright yellow square of butter with the group’s logo gradually melt into a heart.
At the last 3-second mark, the butter melted off-screen to reveal the word “BUTTER” with the release date 2021.5.21.
Fans were quick to discover that the teaser wasn’t for a game nor album, but for BTS’ second English-language single, set to drop on May 21 at midnight EST, or 12:00 p.m. in Philippine time.
Korean entertainment site Soompi.com has also revealed that Butter will be "brimming with the inimitable charm of BTS."
