'Blue's Clues' hosts Steve, Joe, and Josh reunite in first IRL performance for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

We have another reason to be grateful this Thanksgiving season: our childhood heroes have reunited once again!

Former Blue's Clues hosts Steve Burns and Donovan Patton (who portrayed Steve's younger brother, Joe Burns) joined Joshua Dela Cruz in the show's float appearance during the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York. The trio performed the song You Can't Spell Blue Without You from the hit Nickelodeon series.

The three hosts have appeared in a number of social media reunions this year to celebrate Blue's Clues' 25th anniversary, but this serves as their first time performing for a crowd.

"Nickelodeon is celebrating 25 years of Blue's Clues, & they can't spell Blue without Y-O-U!" Macy's official website reads. "Preschoolers go on an interactive adventure to find clues with Josh! Or Joe! Or Steve! And here come all three of them, taking a break from filming their upcoming movie set right here in the Big Apple to skidoo down the Parade route on their fantastic float."

In July of 2021, it was announced that a Blue's Clues movie is in the works. If Macy's caption is any indication, Steve and Joe might also be making a special appearance in the film.

Blue's Clues has had a staple part of the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Parade since 1999, with its animated character Blue having been both a balloon and float through the years.

Nostalgia and love soon poured out from social media for the three childhood icons.
