Christina Aguilera, Jamie Lynn Spears voice out support for Britney Spears

Christina Aguilera and Jamie Lynn Spears are speaking out regarding Britney Spears’s contentious battle against her conservatorship.

Less than a week after Spears spoke for the first time about her "abusive conservatorship,"Aguilera had "been thinking about" her fellow 90s pop idol and Mickey Mouse Club costar. "It is unacceptable that any woman, or human, wanting to be in control of their own destiny might not be allowed to live life as they wish," she wrote on social media.

"To be silenced, ignored, bullied or denied support by those 'close' to you is the most depleting, devastating and demeaning thing imaginable," she added, saying that the damage it can take on a human being "is nothing to be taken lightly."

Aguilera also noted that women should have complete control over "her own body, her own reproductive system, her own privacy, her own space, her own healing and her own happiness."

"While I am not behind the closed doors of this very layered & personal yet public conversation—all I can do is share from my heart on what I’ve heard, read and seen in the media. The conviction and desperation of this plea for freedom leads me to believe that this person I once knew has been living without compassion or decency from those in control," Aguilera expressed in her statement.

"To a woman who has worked under conditions and pressure unimaginable to most, I promise you she deserves all of the freedom possible to live her happiest life. My heart goes out to Britney. She deserves all the TRUE love and support in the world," the singer ended.

Meanwhile, Spears' younger sister Jamie Lynn finally broke her silence and addressed why she had been quiet regarding her sister's conservatorship.

"The only reason I hadn't before is because I felt like until my sister was able to speak for herself and say what she felt she needed to say publicly that it wasn’t my place, and it wasn’t the right thing to do. But now that she’s very clearly spoken and said what she needs to say, I feel like I can follow her lead and say what I feel I need to say," she said on her Instagram stories.

Jamie Lynn made it clear that she "always have" and "always will" support and love her sister.

"Since the day I was born, I've only loved adored and supported my sister. I mean this is my freaking big sister, before any of this bulls-. I don't care if she wants to run away to a rainforest and have zillion babies in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to come back and dominate the world the way she has done so many times before, because I have nothing to gain or lose either way," she said in her statement.

The former Zoey 101 lead star continued by clearing out a few allegations made to her by the public regarding her lack of support for her sister.

"I've worked since I wasd 9 years old. I paid my freakin bills since I was 10 years old. Not that I owe the public anything, because my sister knows I love and support her... I'm not my family. I'm my own person. And I'm speaking for myself."

Jamie Lynn added in her emotional video that she supported Spears "long before" there was a #FreeBritney movement and that she would continue to be there for her "long after."

"I'm so proud of her for using her voice. I'm so proud of her for requesting new counsel like I told her many years ago - oh, not in a public platform but just in a personal conversation between two sisters."

The 30-year-old Sweet Magnolias star said that she is "only concerned about her (sister's) happiness" even if it means to end the conservatorship or "flying to mars."

"Whatever the hell else she wants to do to be happy, I support that 100% because I support my sister; I love my sister. Always have, always will. As long as she's happy. So let's keep praying. That's all."

The statements come days after Spears made an emotional plea during a court hearing in Los Angeles to address her conservatorship.

"I've lied and told the whole world I'm OK and I'm happy," Spears said in her speach, adding: "I'm not happy. I can't sleep. I'm depressed. I cry every day."
