WATCH: Disney drops 'Moana 2' first trailer
Are you ready to venture out into the open sea again?
Disney has released the first trailer for the sequel of the 2016 animated film Moana.
The clip starts off with the titular daughter of a village chief blowing powerfully into a conch shell horn before the scene transitions into her venturing out into the sea again and going into wild and dangerous adventures.
"This is a call from the ancestors to sail to new skies and reconnect our people across the entire ocean," Moana says in the trailer.
The sequel will reunite Moana and the shapeshifting demigod Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers.
After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.
Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson will return to reprise their roles as Moana and Maui, respectively.
The film will open in theaters on Nov. 27 this year.
