You can smell Jacob Elordi with this new candle inspired from infamous bathtub scene in 'Saltburn'
If you've watched the black comedy film Saltburn, you might remember that one infamous scene involving Jacob Elordi in a bathtub.
Since its release, the 2023 psychological drama earned rave reviews from movie critics from its story and acting from its star-studded cast. However, it is also continuously garnering controversy about its bathtub scene, where (spoiler alert!) Elordi's character Felix was shown explicitly masturbating in a tub while Barry Keoghan's Oliver was sneaking a peek at him in the distance.
As if that act didn't earn gasps from the audience enough, Oliver later hops into the bathtub and drinks the used bath water that Felix was enjoying himself in just minutes before. All of this comes just around 30 minutes into the film.
The scene has since become a meme online, particularly on TikTok, where many social media users are sharing their hilarious reactions about it and cautioning others to not watch the film with their parents.
Elordi himself also gave his reaction to filming the scene in an interview with Variety, joking, "I was like, 'Thank God, it’s mine.' I was very proud. I was very proud to have Barry Keoghan guzzling it like that."
Because of all the attention, there is now a candle inspired by the scene.
Dubbed "Jacob Elordi’s Bathwater," the candle is touted to smell like Elordi's climax, with the product description reading: "There’s nothing quite like the smell of a quality candle, particularly when that smell is inspired by Jacob Elordi and what we imagine His Highness to smell like."
While the product is available on Amazon for $35 (P1,949), it is unable to be shipped to the Philippines as of this moment. However, you can buy the item at Etsy for a total of P4,021.72. This already includes the fees for shipping to the country.
Customers can choose from five different scents, namely, Apple Harvest, Cinnamon Vanilla, Clean Cotton, Sea Salt + Orchid, and White Sage.
Aside from Elordi and Keoghan, Saltburn also stars Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, and Archie Madekwe. Set in early 2000s England, the story follows university student Oliver as he develops an unhealthy obsession with his wealthy fellow student Felix, who invites him to spend the summer at his family's estate.
The film began streaming on Amazon Prime Video on Dec. 22.
