‘Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’ delayed to 2022
Fatshark has recently confirmed that they will be pushing back their latest project until at least “early next year” through the Warhammer 40,000: Darktide official Twitter account.

"We have a responsibility to deliver the best game we possibly can, and frankly we need more time to accomplish this goal," said Fatshark CEO and Co-Founder Martin Wahlund.
The four person co-op FPS was initially slated for a release this year but according to Fatshark, the COVID-19 pandemic has made complications with its development.
“We are planning to use the extra time to both focus on the level of quality at release, as well as invest in more systems to support Darktide for years to come,” he added.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is a long-awaited collaboration between previous Warhammer games developer Fatshark and franchise writer Dan Abnett.
This news however is not new or unexpected as a lot of developers and publishers have announced delays earlier this week including Capcom’s Resident Evil Re:Verse, and Tango Gameworks’ Ghostwire: Tokyo.
“We couldn’t be more excited about Darktide. In fact, the toughest part in this decision is the fact that we won‘t be able to put the game in your hands sooner. But I hope that you will join us in Hive Tertium early next year!”
Warhammer 40:000: Darktide will now be released in Spring 2022 exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
