Another early 2000s series is getting a 21st-century revival.

Disney's The Proud Family just released its first reboot trailer, and familiar characters like protagonist Penny Proud (Kyla Pratt), her father Oscar (Tommy Davidson), and grandmother Suga Mama (Jo Marie Payton) are making their way back to the small screen after 17 years.

The original Proud family series was introduced in 2001 before getting canceled in 2005 just after two seasons.

The Disney+ trailer first shows Penny taking selfies and calling her clan "fam" before going into a montage of what to expect from the new series—from Suga Mama gaining muscles to Oscar literally getting his mind blown.

Per Vulture, a number of celebrities such as Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Chance The Rapper, Normani, Tiffany Haddish, Tina Knowles, Brenda Song, Bretman Rock, and more will also be lending their voice through guest appearances.

The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is set to stream on Disney+ starting February of 2022.
