'Daredevil' actor Charlie Cox reportedly seen on set of 'Spider-Man 3'

Daredevil actor Charlie Cox was reportedly seen on the set of Tom Holland's third Spider-Man film.

ComicBook.com said in a report last Friday that the 38-year-old British actor has completed his scenes for the Marvel movie, which is set to debut on Dec. 17.

Despite the confirmation of Cox's involvement in the movie, the report noted that it's unknown if the actor would be portraying the same Daredevil from the series or a different one since the upcoming tentpole will feature a multiverse through Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme.

"Considering the inclusion of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, it's possible that the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be making major changes to Cox's Daredevil in the future." it said.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige earlier addressed the rumor surrounding Cox's Daredevil after he was directly asked if there's a possibility that the actor could reprise his role in the next Spider-Man film.

"I look at anything that's happened before, whether it's our movies, whether it's Marvel entertainment TV series, in particular, obviously the comics, video games, cartoons, all of it is available as inspiration for the future of Marvel. That's the way that comics have worked for many years. So, we'll see," Feige told Collider.

It was previously reported that a deal to bring Cox’s incarnation of the Man Without Fear in John Watt’s upcoming Spider-Man film “has been set in stone for several months now.”

Cox first took on the role of Matt Murdock in Netflix's Daredevil in 2015. The show served as an entryway that helped launch the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the streaming platform with spin-off series like Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Iron Fist and Luke Cage. But after three seasons, Netflix pulled the plug on Cox’s show along with the other Marvel series.

The still untitled Spider-Man sequel reportedly includes Tobey Macquire and Andrew Garfield’s versions of the web-slinger along with Kirsten Dunst (Mary Jane Watson), Jamie Foxx (Electro), and Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus). Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is also joining the film and will serve as a new mentor to Holland’s Parker in lieu of Tony Stark.

The cast of the next Spider-Man sequel includes Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori and Jacob Batalon.
