Sony just released the first global ad spot for its next-gen PlayStation 5 and from the graphics and sound technology alone, it will be leagues ahead of current gaming consoles.

The recently posted PS5 promo video hypes up fan excitement on the upcoming DualSense controller as well as 3D audio. The 75-second ad spot demonstrated how PS5’s three new features – haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and 3D audio – actually work to welcome gamers into what Sony says is “a new world of immersion.”

Alongside the video, Sony also published a blog where developers shared how adaptive triggers and haptic feedback will provide new game experiences on PS5. It is the latest in a series of teasers and previews that gives gamers a glimpse of the console's specs and features.

Spec-wise, the PS5 rocks an AMD Zen 2-based CPU with 8 cores at 3.5GHz, 16GB of GDDR6 memory and a custom RDNA 2 AMD GPU that puts out 10.28 TFLOPs of processing power. It will have an SSD for fast loading, ray-tracing, a built-in 4K Blu-ray player and even backwards compatibility that can play thousands of titles in the PS4's game library.

Sony's long-awaited next-gen console is set to come out late 2020. Fans are eager to get their hands on its impressive games line-up that includes exclusive titles like Deathloop, Project Athia and Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

The PS5 will come out in two models, a Standard Edition with a disc drive and a Digital Edition where you’ll have to download games online and store it directly on the console.
