November is shaping up to be an exciting time for tech in the Philippines—Tesla has finally opened its first store in the country, while Huawei showcased its new Watch GT 5 series.

From smartphones to wearables, different companies have exciting releases that tech fans could watch for (or add to their Christmas wish list). Here's a rundown of some of the biggest tech announcements this month.

At its recent Tech with Love event in Bonifacio Global City, Huawei highlighted the best features of its newest smartwatch, the Huawei Watch GT 5 series.

The Huawei Watch GT 5 includes a vanilla, pro, and ultimate version, in different case sizes: 41mm, 42mm, and 46mm. The standard Watch GT 5 comes with a few upgrades including an AI-powered "Running Coach" that monitors running metrics like ground vertical oscillation, balance, and ground contact time, improved Cycling mode, and a dedicated Golf mode providing optimized 3D maps of over 100 courses in the Philippines.

Additionally, the new smartwatch ups its mental health monitoring with the new Emotional Wellbeing Assistant. This function takes note of your emotional states through various indicators—like your respiratory, nervous, and motion systems—to predict your emotional health.

Huawei boasts that the Watch GT 5 46mm version has a typical nine-day battery life and can reach a maximum of 14 days of use.

The Chinese tech company also partnered with GCash to allow users of the watch to make payments right from their wrist.

The smartwatch can match any style as it comes with different strap customization options.

Available through Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, and Huawei's online store, the Watch GT 5 Series starts at P12,999.

At the recent Tech With Love pop-up, Huawei also showed off its Watch D2, the brand's first smartwatch with ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and the Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2-inch with OLED PaperMatte.
