What to expect from SB19's WYAT homecoming concert on Dec. 18
After showcasing their brilliance in other parts of the world, P-pop kings SB19 has finally returned to the Philippines for the conclusion of their Where You At (WYAT) world tour.
With Pablo, Stell, Justin, Ken, and Josh back in town after a while, there are some things that fans are looking forward to at their highly anticipated concert, on top of their strong vocal chops and incredible talent that they have long been loved for. For one, a live performance of their new single Nyebe.
SB19 dropped a new single titled Nyebe ahead of the culmination of their world tour, which they described as "an emotional ballad that envelopes listeners with warmth, longing, and sadness." SB19 is expected to serenade their thousands of fans with a live performance of the song in Manila.
Released on Dec. 12 on all streaming platforms alongside a visualizer, the song was written by the group's leader and main rapper Pablo. In a press statement, the singer shared that he was "thinking about the feeling of hopelessness, knowing and accepting that things are changing too fast" when he composed the lyrics "long ago."
He added, "Time doesn’t stop, things around us happen so fast. At the end of the day, matutunaw rin ang nyebe. We just have to live with it and pray, there is always a ray of hope."
After belting out their songs on the stages of Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Singapore, fans are also excited to hear their stories and experiences on what it's like to be recognized internationally and reach greater heights in their career.
Prior to conquering New York with their concert, the kings of P-pop made their first live appearance as guests on a US TV show through Fox 5’s Good Day New York, where they were introduced as the "first and only Filipino act to enter three Billboard charts early in their career."
In an interview for GMA Digital Specials, Justin shared that through their world tour, they got to meet people in other countries, which was "really a different feeling."
Josh said that he hopes this launches them into having more opportunities to elevate their career as musicians. "Now that we can see other cultures in other parts of the world, we're more curious what's ahead of us, what else we can do. We're on the verge of showing more."
Tickets for their homecoming concert, which will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, Dec. 18, have been sold out. Fans who were not able to score passes to the live show, however, may still join in the fun in the comfort of their home as the event will be livestreamed starting at 7:00 p.m.
