Like us, Mark Hamill’s going to miss the ‘funny, unpredictable’ ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine.’ Fans and cast on finale
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine cast, celebrities and fans had a lot to say as their favorite police sitcom finally came to an end. And it was very emotional!
Top detective Jake Peralta, played by comedian-producer Andy Samberg, retired his badge together with the cast and crew of the 99th precinct.
As Captain Holt proposed a toast, the officers—actors Andy Samberg, Joe Lo Truglio, Melissa Fumero, Joel McKinnon Miller, Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, and Terry Crews—shared what they thought of the whole experience. To sum it all: It was very “noice”!
Mark Hamill, a.k.a. Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, has a soft spot for the sitcom. Fun fact: He’s also one of the Guardians of the Nine-Nine!
I'm really gonna miss this show. @nbcbrooklyn99 was funny, unique & unpredictable with one of the best ensemble cast of actors on television. Thanks for all the laughs #99! ??#BrooklynByeBye https://t.co/0igHWwLwjs

“Thanks for everything Nine Niners,” Fumero wrote in her tweet on the show’s finale.
This show has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I am so damn proud of this finale. I won’t be live tweeting tonight. I want you all to just watch it and soak up every second. I hope you love it as much we loved making it. Thanks for everything Nine Niners. #ninenine pic.twitter.com/bdLxEVD886

Add a grateful Joe Lo Truglio to the mix. As everyone’s best friend, his character Charles Boyle is going to be missed by fans.

Andy Samberg’s video message hit right in the feels as he told Nine-Niners, “You’ve made the last eight years pretty ‘toit.’”

Here’s one for the books. Fan or not, you can never forget the iconic Season 5, Episode 17’s DFW, featuring Backstreet Boys’ I Want It That Way, which went viral in most social media platforms. Only Detective Jake Peralta can make criminals sing and catch the real culprit.
“Chills, literal chills!”
Brooklyn Nine-Nine might be ending tonight but this segment will remain a classic and one for the ages

Not only did the series portray police-themed workplace comedy, they were not afraid of tackling relevant issues like police brutality in their own language of humor. More than that, we also got to see relationships blossom and characters develop at the end of the show, especially for Jake and Amy, and Captain Holt. And, of course, who could forget their classic “title of your sex tape” joke?
Oh why am I SCREAMING and CRYING you ask oh just because this father/son relationship ended on the best note and with Holy calling him his son and sharing a “title of your sex tape” joke ???#BrooklynNineNine #brooklyn99 pic.twitter.com/4A8koA5L6R

And in case it’s still not your favorite show, here’s a reason to make you think twice.
Man, I still can’t believe #BrooklynNineNine is over… That was such a staple in my teen years and early adult hood. That show was such a reliable source of happiness and I’m going to miss it so much. I truly believe it’s the greatest sitcom ever made. pic.twitter.com/fjWCoDtmLM

Evan Susser, screenwriter for Brooklyn Nine-Nine, said his farewell message on Twitter. While an emotional video message from Melissa Fumero via Entertainment Weekly had fans in tears.
“Nine-nine forever.”
I'm late to tweeting about the #BrooklynNineNine finale because of Yom Kippur. What can I say that hasn't been said? Writing on the show brought me a lot of naches. The cast and crew was full of mensches. !תֵשַׁע תֵשַׁע
