'Crash Bandicoot 4' excites in new gameplay trailer

This time, it’s about time.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, one of the most hyped platform games to launch this year, has dropped another exciting trailer, this time revealing the misadventures of old and new playable characters, fresh worlds and game modes, as well as original skins and powers.

The two-minute gameplay trailer uploaded on Crash Bandicoot’s official YouTube account unveiled finer details about the eighth main installment in the Crash Bandicoot series.

The storyline centers around Crash Bandicoot and his sister Coco as they face off against old nemesis Doctor Neo Cortex, who is busy cooking up a new scheme to conquer a multiverse of dimensions scattered across time and space.

Seeking reinforcements, the siblings employ the aid of Tawna, Crash's old girlfriend that offers her help while undertaking an adventure of her own. And for the first time, players can choose to run around as the retired villain Dingodile. All five characters will be playable.

The game will feature new elements to the traditional gameplay of the series, like the Quantum Masks, four ancient witch doctor masks that have great power over space and time. There will also be a new N. Verted mode that lets you replay games and levels with a whole unique twist.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be available starting Oct. 2 on PS4 and Xbox One.
