It’s official: Red Velvet’s Joy and Crush are in a relationship
It’s a kilig day for Red Velvet’s fans and the R&B soloist’s fans, because Joy and Crush are officially dating.
SM Entertainment and PNation, the K-pop stars’ respective entertainment agencies, confirmed their relationship in an official statement on Monday, Aug. 23, via Korean entertainment portal Soompi.
“They had a senior-junior relationship, but they recently began dating with good feelings toward each other,” the entertainment agencies said.
The pair first collaborated on the 2020 track Mayday which talks about a person’s life in quarantine.
Crush, whose real name is Shin Hyoseob, is an R&B solo artist who debuted in 2014. Aside from his solo work, he’s popular for featuring in K-drama soundtracks such as Goblin and It’s Okay, That’s Love.
Joy, nicknamed “sexy dynamite” among fans, is the lead rapper and sub-vocalist of the K-pop girl group Red Velvet. She debuted as a solo artist with her first mini-album “Hello” in May 2021.
