Brie Larson is gunning for the role of Samus from Metroid. And we're here for it.
Brie Larson as... Samus???
None other than Oscar Award-winning actor and Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson, expressed a huge desire to play Samus from the Metroid video game franchise. Which begs the question: Hello, Nintendo??? Why aren't you calling her???
In an interview on the virtual talk show Animal Talking with host Gary Whitta (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Book of Eli), Larson sat down and spoke about her love for Animal Crossing, her new YouTube channel, and her "dark secret" of playing 150 hours of Fortnite,
But near the end, Larson made clear her desire to play the role of Metroid protagonist, Samus Aran, if and when the movie version gets made.
You can watch the exchange between her, Whitta, and band leader Adam Nickerson who brought up the subject:
"I was Samus for Halloween... She was always my character that I played in Super Smash Bros., and I just loved her. I've definitely not put a squash to that story," Larson said. "I'm like, definitely want to make that movie, definitely want to participate in that. So Nintendo, once again, I would love to do it."
