'I hope that it was painful': Key moments from 'The Glory' Part 2 official trailer

It's not a revenge story without the main character encountering some sort of bump in the road on their path to vengeance.

The Glory is set to return with its second installment and Netflix has dropped a new trailer ahead of its release on March 10.

So far in The Glory Part 1, we've seen bullied protagonist Moon Dong-eun (Song Hye-kyo) gradually build up her lifelong plan to enact revenge on her tormentors.

Like the game of Go, Dong-eun's true objective is to take everything that Yeon-jin has spent all her life building up, only for all of these to turn against her. Finally, she will finally score her major victories in The Glory Part 2. But not without incurring a few losses—minor and major—of her own.

Now, for the sophomore installment of the drama, the tension-filled trailer sees Dong-eun facing challenges on her road to "glory."

Defeat

Dong-eun returns to her apartment with all of the photos taken down and scattered on the floor, presumably by Yeon-jin. The protagonist scrambles to find a specific item, but it is unclear what.

Yeon-jin is seen bribing with a bagful of cash Dong-eun's estranged mother, Jung Mi-hee, who abandoned her daughter in Part 1 by accepting money from Yeon-jin's mother, signing off on Dong-eun's voluntary withdrawal from school to protect her bullies, and forfeit the place where her daughter was staying at. We don't know how she will exactly play into Yeon-jin's revenge, but this surely can't be good.

Not everything will go in Dong-eun's favor, evident from her body language. "Stop laughing like that!" a tense and sweat Dong-eun yells at an unseen individual. In another frame, she exclaims, "That was the last thing you should've done!"

Victory

Dong-eun reveals her extensive scars by wearing a sleeveless dress at a public event with Do-yeong and others in attendance. We don't know the context, but this is sure to be scandalous enough to cause intrigue in Yeon-jin's circles.

Do-yeong also rightly gives Jae-joon, his wife's lover, the beating he has so long deserved. He also finally snaps at Yeon-hin after maintaining his composure for much of Part 1, shouting at her: "What did you end up protecting?"

Their daughter, Ye-sol, is also seen crying in a later shot.

Meanwhile, Dong-eun's trusted ally Kang Hyeon-nam is seen getting badly beaten, perhaps by her abusive husband, then stares through bars—but from which side remains unclear.

We hope that all of this means Dong-eun gets the last word as she does in the official trailer of Part 2. "I hope that it burned for you too, like it did for me. I hope that it was painful," she concluded.

Part 2 of The Glory will be available on March 10 on Netflix.
