Jun Jong-seo, Moon Sang-min's rom-com series 'Wedding Impossible' to premiere on Prime Video this February
Just in time for the season of love, Prime Video is set to premiere the new romantic comedy series Wedding Impossible this February.
Starring Jun Jong-seo and Moon Sang-min, the Korean offering follows the story of Na A-jung, an unrenowned actress who is best friends with Lee Do-han, the son of a wealthy business family whom she has known for 15 years now.
Do-han has no ambitions of taking over their business, so when marriage is pushed onto him by his family, he asks for A-jung's help to fake their wedding. This puts them at odds with Do-han's younger brother Ji-han, who has been working diligently to make Do-han the successor of the family’s conglomerate.
It’s a battle between A-jung, whose mission is to get married while acting out the role of a lifetime, and Ji-han, who wants to prevent their marriage at all costs.
Wedding Impossible is directed by Kwon Young-il, who is known for Doom at Your Service in 2021 and My Unfamiliar Family in 2020. It is based on a webtoon of the same title written by Song Jung-won and illustrated by Lee Chung.
Jong-seo rose to fame with the role of Hae-mi in the 2018 South Korean thriller Burning and was named as Best Actress at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards for her performance in another thriller movie, The Call (2020).
Sang-min, meanwhile, is known for his roles in Under the Queen's Umbrella in 2022, for which he won Best New Actor at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards. He bagged the same award for Duty After School in 2023.
Joining them in the upcoming series are Kim Do-wan, Bae Yoon-kyung, Kim Kwang-gyu, and Min Jin-woong.
Wedding Impossible will premiere on Prime Video on Feb. 26, with episodes that will be released weekly every Monday and Tuesday.
