BTS members renew contracts with BIGHIT Music
All BTS members have renewed their individual contracts with their longtime management BIGHIT Music.
K-entertainment site Soompi reported that its parent company HYBE confirmed the news in a statement on Wednesday, Sept. 20. “The board of directors has completed [their decision] on renewing the exclusive contracts of all seven members of BIGHIT MUSIC’s artist BTS,” the agency said.
It will take effect in 2025.
RM, who is part of the iconic K-pop group, shared a photo of his contract in his Instagram stories following the news.
BTS is a septet group consisting of members RM, Jin, Jungkook, V, Jimin, J-Hope, and Suga. They made their debut in the K-pop scene in 2013 under BIGHIT.
The septet is widely considered South Korea's biggest-ever cultural phenomenon, selling out stadiums worldwide, dominating the charts, raking in billions, and building a global legion of fans known as ARMY. According to the Guinness World Records, it is the "most popular group in the world."
BTS is best known for their hit songs Dynamite, Butter, and FAKE LOVE, among others.
The band is currently on a hiatus from group activities, during which they will focus on solo projects and fulfill their military enlistment requirements.
