The X accounts of ABS-CBN News, GMA Network, and SM Cinema—as well as dozens of global figures and major organizations—were apparently hacked early Thursday, Sept. 19.

At 2:07 a.m., ABS-CBN News and GMA Network tweeted: “THIS IS HACKED ACCOUNT!!!! INTRODUCING $HACKED ON SOLANA on each account we hack we publish the token address so we pump it and make profits together.”

The cyberattack is promoting $HACKED, which is a cryptocurrency token on Solana.

Solana, named after a small Southern Californian coastal city, is a cryptocurrency launched in 2020. It was designed to work similarly to and improve upon another cryptocurrency, Ethereum.

SM Cinema and Wilbros Live also made a similar tweet during the same period.

The same message was shared on the X pages of foreign news outlets like PEOPLE Magazine and Yahoo News UK.

Other hacked accounts also included the World Health Organization, the Great British Menu, and Lenovo India, as well as British politicians Shabana Mahmood, Chris Elmore, and Carolyn Harris.

Accounts with a huge following like EUinmyRegion, Moneycontrol, and KrystalDeFi also appear to have been compromised.

The tweets of these accounts have since been deleted.

The cause of the hacking spree and the people behind it have yet to be known.
